Cute Invader

I blipped one of these 'bird-house boarders' before...New Tenant. This one lives in a small bird-house under the eves of my front porch. I took some time to more seriously identify it. Apparently this one and it's two friends (living in other birdhouses) are Cuban Tree-frogs. Their ancestors probably found their way to Florida in shipments of 'whatever' from the island of Cuba, just 90 miles south of Key West and are now classed as an 'invasive' species They are cute little frogs but are voracious eaters and, it seems... are creating major problems for our native frog populations which Cuban Tree frogs consider a tasty food source.

Our Agricultural Extension Service and the Univ. of Florida recommend 'humanely euthanizing' them. I'm on board with the need to curb our invasive populations, of which we have many, here in Florida. But I'm not sure I will be able to do the 'deed'.
I just don't know...
