Reasons I Want To Be A Heron

Dear Sir/Madam, please find enclosed my application for the post of: Heron.

1. Herons don't go to meetings. I've spent most of today in meetings.
2. Herons eat fish. I like fish.
3. Herons (like this one) dip their tail in the cold water early in the morning. Oh, wait. OK, changed my mind - don't want to be a heron any more.

I took this shot from long distance and didn't really have much hope for it. In the camera it didn't look anything special, but when I saw it on the monitor, I loved the background. Minimal processing other than standard RAW tweaking.

Update: A Twitter correspondent suggests I should have no egrets about posting this shot. Groan!
