Auld Fishing Bothies, St Cyrus
Lots of sunshine today, so I decided to finish painting my garden shed. Started last year - the paint hadn't gone hard in the can so all was well. Took a run out to St Cyrus to take advantage of the good light. Deciding which shot to use as my blip for the day has been hard, but liked this one best. There is another view of the Fishing Cottages and I've put it HERE! Please take a look - see which view you prefer.
The Gurkha Bridge in the foreground is leading from the sea across the dunes to the cottages. It was built by a Gurgha Regiment in the 1950s. Where it is built used to be a river until 1879 when a terrific storm changed the route of the river and there is only boggy land where it once ran.
Great sunset today as well.
