Destruction & Rubbish

The section of Cliff Drive at Cahills Lookout, Katoomba - the scene of last Saturday's sudden bushfire which destroyed one house and damaged others has now re-opened.

This image shows the view back towards Narrowneck, with the extent of the fire's destruction evident in the foreground.

The other disturbing part of the image is the vast collection of bottles, cans and even shopping trolleys that had been dumped in the undergrowth - what a bunch of grubs!

It appears that the fire which extended down into Nellies Glen and the eastern end of the Megalong valley - see isbi's post from her farm in the Megalong Valley on Saturday has finally been extinguished (maybe today's heavy rain helped?)
