Glut

I know that there are well organised gardeners out there who manage a succession of small amounts of vegetables to be ready throughout the summer. I am not one of them.

My cut and come again salad leaves, did get cut and they did come again... and again... and again. But eventually they decided they were bored with that and explode overnight into a forest of lettuce.

So today, I took my machette and harvested the crop before it all went to seed.

Then I made an enormous pot of lettuce soup. Now I only have to figure out what to do with the other mountain of green leaves filling my fridge.

Any ideas????
