Ever decreasing circles

I found out there was a room available at the care home nearest me; first impression wasn't good. There was a strong smell of faeces and everyone was just lying in beds. Lots of loud shouting too which was quite disturbing, but I guess this is what we have to look forward to with Dad. Afterwards I visited Dad and told him someone would come and assess him soon. He was his usual miserable self. When I got home I had missed a call from the new home saying there were going to visit him today. At 4pm I got a call to say he is too much of a risk for their vulnerable residents and he would be too challenging for them. Oh great, this doesn't bode well for the other homes he has his name down for. There are many types of dementia it seems, my Dad has to have the not very nice one. I don't know what I'll do if I can't find anywhere for him. Probably buy him the gun he keeps saying he wants so he can end his life. He's so depressed, confused and very angry. Not a great combination to impress a new care home!
