Winter Arrives

Yesterday it was glorious weather in England and today it was this first day of winter in Sweden! Being warned by the weather people that a real snow storm was on the way we headed for home before it got dark.
Once home I had an online meeting to participate in but once that was over it was out to change the wheels on both cars, replacing summer tyres with the studded winter ones.
We got the first car done before darkness fell. Janet moved on to other jobs and the second car required a head torch and some will power to overcome the dark, chill and wetness.
With both cars done I retreated indoors, hung up my dripping outer layers in the bathroom, donned a thick jumper and settled down to soup, prepared by Janet.
Feeling happy and slightly proud to have both cars now fully prepared for winter, now it’s done!
I wonder if this is the start of winter or if it's just a fleeting visit and after a few days we will be back to autumn again?
Last year I changed the tyres on the 9 November, long before any snow appeared.
