the serrated serenade
A tired morning today. So, come lunchtime I went out for a saunter with the camera. And glory-be the light that shone for me. Amid the decaying concrete blocks of maisonettes and the careless streets were some winks of gold.
This leaf.
Stuck in a scabby hedge row, but lit like the smile of a friend when they suddenly see you. Thank you sun. The serrated serenade of this bright fractal beauty and its shadow buddy re-charged my batteries ready for what the afternoon would bring. All I needed to do was lean closer and hear its whisper.
