Change of view..

..up early, do the chores, cats, dog, hens, bins, kettle and tea for G. Breakfast cereal, and down to the hotel. Had to load up all the pictures (nearly filed the car) plus some furniture in the trailer. It rained all the time and I got pretty wet. Sheeted up with a tarp, a couple of ratchet straps, and off on the 8 mile journey to Drumbeg, and the storage house.

Now this may not seem like much, just 8 miles, but it's single track, and winds it's way through the wonderful scenery of Assynt. Dropping steeply down into two valleys, and rising twice too. In places had to drop back into 1st gear..

Arrived and unloaded, and back to the hotel to repeat the job, but with 4 settees, a bed frame, and set of shelves.

Back to the hotel to drop M off, and then back to Scourie for 1:00 so that G could have the car to repaet the journey to Lochinver for her pilates class. That's 100 miles for the day!!..

I got stuck into the new cold frames, (recycled wood), and got one made, anf filled with soil. It's parallel to the poly-tunnel, 3 feet away, and the soil from this space filled the frame. Now just need to back-fill the path with stone to aid drainage..

This shot of the croft and Scourie taken from J's house, and shows the steepness of the croft better. The patch in sunlight is flat. It did brighten up in the afternoon, but also had some heavy showers..

Music..
