Catch up day

After all my activities over the half term week, the diary was fortunately free today, so I was able to catch up with a few things at home, and take Russet for a good long run.
The garden is looking rather end-of-season now. The hostas have all but disappeared, cosmos and dahlias all but gone, but there are many soft, gentle colours around. The hydrangeas and the bay tree make quite a pretty combination.
The fridge is looking empty, so we'll be off into town in the morning!
