Learning to Dance
I've used this quote from time to time but I don't think I've blipped it. Everyone has storms in their life. Sometimes it's a drizzle that barely gets you wet and other times it's such a hellish event that your very survival comes into question. Sometimes surviving or not surviving depends on how well you can dance and if your partner wants to survive bad enough and is willing to match your steps and listen to the music.
I know, Gene Kelly danced in the rain...but remember Fred Astere? His dance partner of many years, Ginger Rogers, once said something like " You think Fred dances great? Try matching his every step...only backwards...in high heels!"
Peggy and I love to dance and have danced through out our 37 years together. On moon-lit nights, ball room floors and yes, even in the rain. That's when we dance the best, the closest and with the most passion...because that's when it's needed the most.
