Well surprise, surprise, surprise

The reason for the surprise is this plant was a house plant that I planted outside for the summer about 4 years ago and never got round to bringing it back in. To my surprise it has thrived – surviving the winters unprotected, and this year it has a lot of these lovely flowers.

Another day of washing (after the plumber came – far too long a story to try and explain ... but basically it’s all OK now. Needless to say, dodgy water supply is not the best way to get the washing done). I also managed to bake a ‘don’t mention the C word’ cake, an apple/whisky/cinnamon cake and a loaf of bread.
