Parthenon

On our last day in Greece, we went to Athens and the Acropolis.

It took us more than 2 hours to get there instead of the expected 60 minutes or so because apparently the city centre was closed to traffic due to a protest near the parliament.

We thought the bus would take us within a walking distance of the Acropolis but either we were on a different bus than we thought or it had to take a different route because of the situation. Fortunately, there was a nice young woman on the bus who showed us the way to the underground that took us to the Acropolis.

The site was very impressive so it was well worth the trouble.
