Victoria, R.I. and Albert the Good

This is the oldest book on my bookshelf and belonged to my Grandma, which as you can see, she got as a prize for getting up and going to school. Wonder if they had the Education Welfare Officers knocking on their door in those days? Anyway, the cover and inside pages are also very interesting and may be worth a blip at a later date.

I also wonder what she thought about receiving 'Victoria, R.I. and Albert the Good' as her prize. Must admit I would've been slightly disappointed, given that the queen had been off the throne a while when she received it.

It would be a bit like getting a book on Tony Blair now.
