The Pink Princess

I was up at 7:30am this morning- on a Sunday! I slept in my nice new bed. I use the word slept loosely.... for some reason it was the worst night's sleep in a long time. Too hot, and must have seen in every hour. Eventually gave up and got up early....

I made plans to meet my best friend and her little girl for a coffee date this morning. I was out early, and managed to do my Sainsbury's shop en route, and all before 11am! I picked them both up (see the Pink Princess in her pink car seat!) and we went to the nearest Starbucks. It was great to catch up. Her little girl was darling, and so well behaved. I love visiting with her! Towards the end she got a bit restless, so we went for a wander around the shops. We had to drag her away from all toy car/Peppa pig rides, with both of us claiming "oh, it's broken"! It was fab to catch up again. We're going to do dinner in a couple of weeks.

Later on I decided to take myself to Windsor for a browse. My weekend sort of feels incomplete without it! In the end I didn't buy anything- I think my credit card was breathing a sigh of relief!

The usual evening stuff- gym. Good session, then home to face the reality- half-term is over and it's back to school tomorrow :-(
