Leanachan

Thank you again for everyone’s kind comments and words of encouragement for the picture at the top of Maol Ruadh.
Given how wet it’s been I think we can be forgiven for going a bit daft (photographically) when we get a wee glimpse of the sun. Mrs SJR and I went for a Caley walk at Leanachan. This picture is deceptive because we got pretty wet by the end. Despite having done dog walks in dozens of route permutations here over the years we did a section of new path today. I have said before how vast this forest is. The “new” path we took could provide another approach to Intake 7 or a huge loop giving may be a 4 hour low level walk.
The public road to Leanachan has been badly eroded and undermined by the recent heavy rain. At one point there is a longitudinal rut in the bitmac which would swallow a land rover wheel up to the axle. It’s not somewhere to drive a small car in the dark that’s for sure.
