A tad early but ...

Guy Fawkes/Bonfire night falls on Wednesday this year and the residents of Portobello were having an early celebration on the beach as we left the cafe there this evening.

Perhaps this is a bit of history (Guy Fawkes' execution) we could let go of and just celebrate the onset of winter with a bonfire night on the first weekend in November? After all, we don't throw parties for children to mark any other failed assassination attempts, do we?
