Canal near Longstone

Didn't do much today apart from a stroll along the canal.
I wandered further west than I'd been for many years, and I was taken aback by the changes around Meggetland. This once was, more or less, just a field, now it looks like a whole city to itself.

...And would you Adam and Eve it, I spotted the one and only 'The Pensioner' sitting with his Maw on a bench at the park side, and, get this (he really owes me one now), he never even mentioned that I'd clocked him when he produced his blip, name and shame I say.
Seriously, it was nice to see him after so long and to meet Beth his very sweet mama.
