Day 7 and all will be revealed

Today was our last full day here. I have enjoyed reading you suggestions for where you think I have been on holiday for the last week. Thank you all for taking part and well done to everyone who got it right. Points for hildarose who didn't seem to know where I was until she correctly named the town of Marsaxlokk !! Impressive!!

For those of you who are interested we have been in Malta. Today's picture is the view just after the sun set, from our balcony, looking towards Valetta. The dome of the Co Cathedral to the right of our neighbouring church. (Best viewed large).

It has been a lovely holiday. Warm and sunny except for this morning. The odd rumble of thunder round and about but we didn't ever use the (tartan !) umbrella I bought!! We have enjoyed using the buses to get around. It costs 1.50€ for a whole days travel on as many buses as you want. As the result they can get pretty busy but so efficient even for long trips across the island. Tripadvisor has come up trumps for restaurants each night. We have walked a lot and dined well. Only yesterday's was an expensive disappointment in Valetta but that was our fault entirely.

Home tomorrow to a cold house. The Aga went out the day we left and the engineer can't come till Thursday. I will be driving north to collect Flossie who looks to be having a wonderful holiday too
