Blackening Waxcap
My recent purchase of a new satnav to replace my ageing TomTom (which now gets lost all the time) was largely driven by Blipfoto. Gave it a quick run out yesterday and learned a few Garmin twists, then laid all my stuff out last night and programmed Dave (as the newbie has been called) with the co-ordinates of a local spot I always get lost on the way to and wind up driving round lanes for hours. But pre-dawn I heard the rain lashing on the window. And post-dawn. Right now the drizzle is lashing on the window. Dave can wait - I'm not that bothered.
I like this shot of a Blackening Waxcap (Hygrocybe conica) - splash of colour on a dismal day. A year ago I'd never heard of Waxcaps. Thanks Blipfoto.
