Ski Leader

This is my Ski Leader badge which I got some years ago.

You did not just apply for the badge, it had to be earned.

Nevis Range ski school at Aonach Mor was where I did some time as a part time instructor. It was bit of an ego trip the beginners think you are a really good skier but the other instructors probably had a different opinion.

When I was skiing abroad I sometimes put the badge on but only if I felt I was skiing well, I liked the Scottish flag on it.

In Italy I was asked by the girl on the restaurant till what the badge was. She thought I was a German and when I told her what it was she said that I was entitled to meals at half price. I said I was not with a party but id did not matter my wife and I got our meals and drinks half price.
