The Purple House

Yesterday we drove past the site of where this house used to stand in the Newlands Valley. It was derelict and subsequently destroyed by fire a few years ago. In its place there now stands a modern architectural statement in Lakeland stone which blends in to the local environment, but.......I wish the purple house was still there.
