Danger!

After morning tea at Little River we went to Birdlings Flat to fossick for agates. We found a fair number, and some petrified wood too.

The waves at Birdlings are pretty dangerous - that is one powerful surge. But the swans and were more prepared to brave the surf with their cygnets than let us come any closer to their babies.

An appalling photo but I only had my 15-85 with me on the beach and I couldn't get any nearer. I took much better photos today of: the sea, rocks, the headland, birds and Sebastian but seeing the cygnets near that surf really had my heart in my mouth.
