Union Canal at Philipstoun

We went shopping in Livingston today, mostly buying clothes for the kids.

On the way home I found myself stuck in the wrong lane at the roundabout and so took a different route home than usual, going through the wonderfully-named village of Ecclesmachan.

It was as we crossed the canal I looked round and saw how wonderful the canal looked in the sun which was already getting low in the sky.

The only camera I had with me was my phone, but it still did a reasonable job of capturing the scene!
