Strike a pose!

Oh isn't he a pretty bird!! I think this is the same guy I blipped last week (twice!). From what I can tell, the hummingbirds seem to have a favorite branch and hang out there quite often. He would zoom off to chase a friend (or foe?) and come right back.

I also saw some very strange behavior! He flew back and forth like he was on a pendalum! Over and over! Maybe is was some kind of mating ritual? Trying to impress a girl? I wished I'd had a video of it.

I took a hours walk to the same park today. I really had to hustle getting back to school so I wouldn't miss the bus to the Civic Arts Plaza to see Nate the Great with the first graders! I made it just in time. But I had to stop a few yards from the bus and take pictures of a crow pestering a hawk! I'm going to download these later and link them, but right now we are getting the kids in bed and starting a hockey game. Yay! Hockey season resumes after the Olympics!
