Oh no lady, watch out!

Turns out it is clear ice underneath the snow on the channel between Lake of the Isles and Cedar Lake...she proceeded to ski right over it. Almost gave me a blinking heart attack. I suppose the Black Lab and two companions could have pulled her out if necessary. It's deep under this bridge. In summer, kids line up on the railings and leap into the water...till the police show up.

Another in a string of glorious days. In the garden, there are several plant tips peeking out of the snow even though several four foot heaps remain. If I squint real hard and make my hands into binoculars, I can see it...the faint light at the end of the tunnel known as the crappiest winter we've had in recent memory. Famous last words.
