Messing About On the River

Hi Tom

Had a little paddle down the river today. It was the first time the kayaks have been out. The weather was glorious and it just seemed the right thing to do. I'm hopeless I have to say. I lost count how many times I went into the riverbank. Going downriver was quite easy but coming back was quite difficult. I think we need to do some serious cutting back in the river. It was more like an obstacle course in parts. Great fun though.

I also managed to fit some gardening in before the kayaks were taken out. We are going to have a bonfire next week so I'm trying to cut down as much as I can to add it to the bonfire.

Spent the afternoon in town. Had a lot of shopping to do. Finished off the shopping with a drink in Baroosh.

I'm now watching Strictly with my feet up while dad cooks the dinner. I need to conserve as much energy as I can for my muddy race tomorrow....eek!
