Murder in the night.....
Agatha Christie fans look away now if you don't want to know the result.
There are few creatures who are enemies of the hedgehog, the fox is one, the main contender is the badger. This poor hapless soul has been murdered and munched by a badger, which then went on to try and dig under our garage. The badger thrusts a claw into the soft underside of the hedge pig and then dines on the deceased. (The fox will sit alongside a curled up hedgehog until it unfurls, then stab a claw into the belly)
JazzyB's neighbours were rather silly last year. They were pictured in the local paper pointing dramatically at a badger sett which had been established under their shed, which was subsiding. A few months later the fools put their house on the market. "Is there anything you need to declare to a potential buyer?"
I suspect a family of protected beasts living under the lopsided shed may constitute an advisory warning.
