Sunlit Willows and Poplars

It has been very windy today, in fact it was very strong as we were playing croquet this afternoon. I won 2 lost 1.

This photo is looking towards Edgewater Resort Hotel, with the famous tree in the lake on the left. The pool is at the mouth of Stoney Creek.

I learned a lot about the fire of London at school assembly yesterday. The fire started in a baker's shop in Pudding Lane in 1666. The children had written poems, did a crackling fire dance, made collages, and produced a black and white movie in the style of Charlie Chaplin. They showed us what to do when the house is on fire. We were entertained, and the children sure enjoyed themselves.

As for the ducklings, I didn't see them today, so I'll give you an update tomorrow.
