Happy Halloween!
Every year our neighbors across the street carve jack-o-lanterns. On the afternoon of October 31st, they place a step ladder in their front yard and set up this display. So while Bob was out front passing out candy and hot cider to the trick-or-treaters and their parents, I was at our upstairs window capturing a holiday blip. The hot apple cider, a tradition Bob started maybe eight or nine years ago, is very popular, especially on a cold, rainy night like this one. A few minutes ago a woman came up our walk asking, "Is this the house that has hot cider? I've had it for two straight years and wanted to be sure to get a cup." When I handed it to her, she said, "Now my evening is complete," and set off to catch up with her kids who had gone on ahead. For them it was all about the candy. Apparently for her, it was all about the hot cider. Happy Halloween, Blippers. Tomorrow is the first day of November. For us, here in Ohio, that means winter is on the way. Brrr!
