Days of Passage

Davenport, Ca. 8:08 am

Davenport is a small town about 10 miles north of Santa Cruz. It's been home of the Davenport Cement Factory for over 100 years. It supplied the concrete for the Panama Canal. It also has some very sheer cliffs, spectacular views.. as well as a great breakfast place.

I had stopped to shoot a roadside memorial, and saw 4 cormorants in the Cypress Trees on the bluff. I set up the tripod, and shot. Too far away for what I wanted.. so i got closer. Wings flapped, so I stopped and shot again.. and waited. Moved closer and shot 2 more time. The very last shot (this one), one of the 4 flew away, leaving 3.... in a much better composition (thank you Providence)
