An Aye Toward the Heavens

With the sun out and blue skies, I needed to get outside today. I've been thinking about getting this shot for a while now.

This is the tower at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, MI USA. It is a magnificent Art Deco stone structure, and truly something to behold up close.

I have heard that only half of the tower is above ground.
Oh, it's big.
