Skating without a penguin

Swimming and skating day at The Time Capsule in Glasgow.

We had the ice skating rink all to ourselves - an amazing experience - which gave H the courage to abandon his penguin and venture forth unassisted. He had a lot of falls, but didn't seem to mind, and was looking pretty good by the end. (Ready to start skiing.) Meanwhile, Auntie Alison was practising her backward skating.

After a quick lunch, it was off to the waves and flumes of the swimming pool.
Not surprisingly, H slept all the way back to Edinburgh.
