The best laid plans eh?

Another day on the bowls trip, and for the first time for me a whole day bowling. I usually have one session off.

There is a booby prize for being a worse performing rink, so the stakes are high when you are playing. We rarely win many games as the English rules are different to the Welsh ones, and they play with a blocking stick in the middle so you can't just fire if the heads are going against you.

The morning session went quite well, we were unlucky to lose in the end and was a cracking match.

The afternoon session I was playing with dad, we were on in the second session, so we knew what we had to do to avoid having to do the walk of shame. So we started the game and dad said, right, we need to keep this within eight shots ... so losing 21-1 (they measured to give us the one!) was not really the plan!

The scores never really matter as it is a wonderful social weekend!
