The Parana Rainforest
The Parana River serves as a border between Argentina and Paraguay. It is still a dense rainforest area inhabited by Guarani Indians.
This upper part of Argentina is bordered by Brazil to the east and by Paraguay to the west.
It is known as 'Misiones' district in Argentina. This is where the Jesuit Missions were founded and then destroyed. If you have seen the movie 'The Mission', this is where it was all happening.
I am on my way to San Ignacio, a small town with a UNESCO World Heritage site.
