Cockermouth castle

The Normans built the first castle in Cockermouth in 1134.

It played an important part in The War of The Roses.

It is now privately owned and opened to the public from time to time.

We pass it everyday on our walks with Chloe...it is really nearby to where we live.

The wind today is really WARM!
