Scrounging

Noticed this blue jay scrounging around in the leaves under the feeder. There is still seed in the feeder so I'm not sure, maybe he was looking for something different. And I ended up snapping this through the window which still has a screen in it, so I think it could be sharper if I would have gotten it through the upper panes where there is no screen, but I was afraid then I would spook the jay and get no photo at all.

Cool again today, but the activity of picking up leaves in the afternoon warmed me up. I'm noticing that the cats are spending less and less time outside these days - they go out for a little while, then they come in and snuggle in one of the spare bedrooms.
