Autumn colours
When the children arrived home, R played with his present from MinL and after lunch we went to the Ashmolean for the Discovering Tutenkahmon exhibition. It was really interesting, I loved Howard Carter's sketches and the care and precision with which everything was done, for someone who quite compulsively rushes into exciting things this was a very different approach. Particularly intrigued by the fact that Carter found the tomb but resisted going in, instead blocked it back up and sent a letter to the Earl so that he could uncover it.
We then had coffee in Gloucester Green and the trees were beautiful.
We saw the Snow Queen, well done Wheatley Productions, really fascinating and cleverly done. Good job.
