New concept

We all met for lunch with a colleague of mine today. His wife is a nurse who practices natural birthing techniques so we were keen to pick her brains about Nikki's options here in Carlsbad.

From what we've heard and read, the US tends to 'hospitalise' the treatment far more than the UK. Maybe it's the fear of litigation that forces everyone to be super clinical. I can't help but be a little disappointed in the lack of natural options - especially given that we're in Southern California.

Still, we received some good advice today and Nikki will be burrow herself in research over the next few days. If there is a natural option, we shall find it.
