Northern California Sunrise

We awoke before dawn this morning on the Coast Starlight Number 14 train.

The stars in the clear night sky outside our window were bright with the “Big Dipper” standing on its handle.

Before long the horizon began to get lighter with a tinge of color.

As we sipped hot coffee together in the darkness of our train sleeper cabin the miracle of another dawn evolved before our eyes.

Kathy and I arrived home safely from our great train adventure early this afternoon.

Lots to think about and for which to be thankful.
