Let The Season Begin

The October challenge word today is Strong and these two are certainly that. I must admit I didn't actually take this picture - Logan sent it today as he and Nate gear up for their first game of the season. They are good friends and have worked hard since last February to get ready for this season, both of them second year players at the university level. The game will be on Saturday and it is a non-league game, just a scrimmage to see how they stack up against another team.

We have all been told how strong we are - the way we've handled Sumner's addiction and then her death. We really had no choice in the matter. Oh, I guess we could have withdrawn and isolated ourselves, hidden the facts, but that would have helped no one. We have found strength in each other and in friends and in her memory and even in life itself as she would have lived it had she not been sidetracked. Strong is a good trait!
