Autzen
We were in Eugene and of course we needed a place to walk Kirb. There are so many good running paths in Track Town USA, and this one is right outside Autzen Stadium, home of the Oregon Ducks. We were season ticket holders for years and spent many glorious Saturdays inside this place watching the Ducks in many amazing games. All three of the granddaughters grew up eating tailgate barbecue and tossing the football around in the parking lot. Then they grew up, and their Saturdays meant games of their own. The Ducks changed too; success meant higher ticket prices, more money for parking. The skyrocketing costs sucked the fun out of it for us, and we easily gave up our tickets. We still root for the Ducks, but it's just not that big of a deal for us anymore.
This picture was my second choice, a grainy shot of the TV after the San Francisco Giants won their third World Series in five years. Tom and I are long time Giants fans, and this group was fun to watch. Granddaughter Elle is a huge fan as well, seeing them play this year with her Aunt Cindy. Yeah Giants!
