Health Screening in Pune, India

Worldwide 18,000 pre-school children die each day from preventable causes. IMPACT trains teachers, nursery workers and older pupils to identify ill-health and refer children to our doctors. Treatment, spectacles and hearing aids are dispensed wherever needed.

In India, our partners in Pune and Bhavnagar trained 116,214 teachers and nursery workers to check the health of 591,406 children last year.
