DERELICT THURSDAY......

.... a sad reflection on our respect for our forebears!

Whilst this is probably not a "nice" choice for "Derelict Thursday" with An Avid Lensman it is sadly quite a derelict situation!!

It is the Sir John Jamison Catholic Cemetery right in the middle of a really nice part of Penrith. Set on the top of a hill there are quite a few old head stones and graves which over time have been left to decay.

Have picked this one showing a consistent lean which whilst could have come from strong southerly winds based on their location I suspect at sometime vandalism played its part.

At present it could do with a good mow as you can see, and to be fair having taken a sunset shot here before it can also look quite something. Check out the shot taken in my OUTBACK AUSTRALIA .. Back When series #5
