about 18 months ago, a big storm passed through, a big gum tree was knocked down , just south of Cheviot , outside the bowling club . (a small town on the east coast of the south island of New Zealand)
some clever soul took their chainsaw to the stump,
this is the result .
a ball about four foot in diameter, STILL CONNECTED to the stump.
