Nice of the pub to lay on candles for his nib's birthday!

It's a sign of age, the crazy month we've had or both that we were back home in time for The Apprentice.

Still a lovely way to top of a busy day of work, phone call to doctor's surgery, being booked for a phone consultation (which, of course, came while I was on a work call) then called into the surgery. All well in the end and I managed to delay starting the ABx until after we'd been out tonight. Definitely getting my money's worth out of the NHS these days. I was gutted when they transferred me off a brilliant GP's list but I've seen the new one twice now and I really rate her. Just grateful I was working from home today and that they slotted me in. Credit where it's due.

ABx = antibiotics. Old habits die hard. And I don't want to start a use of ABx debate. We had that in the surgery and decided on balance they were necessary.
