The end of the day...
I was really tired when I went downstairs to bed last night but made the mistake of reading for a while and woke up in the early hours with a stiff neck. Typical! How many times have I done that? I soon got back to sleep properly though and was soon back upstairs logged in and awake after my shower looking at a lovely pink glow over the distant Heads of Ayr.
The day was quite peaceful really. I'm trying to make the most of it and pack in as much tedious stuff as possible as I know I won't get a chance when everyone is back after half term is over next week.
There is nothing much else to tell you today! Mom went out in the morning to mass and came with a box of mince pies from Iceland as they were featured in yesterday's edition of Loose Women. They were supposed to be good. Apparently, mom was lucky to get a box as they were selling out quickly. I'm glad she wasn't involved in a battle over boxes of mince pies... Anyway, I ate them all.
It was another beautiful afternoon but noticeably colder when I was logged off and walking towards the rapidly dying sunlight. I was glad I was wearing my big coat. There were quite a few people out walking dogs or cycling/running. A bit of sunshine brings everyone out no matter how cold it gets. Even though I haven't minded getting a bit damp while here, I did enjoy my cool crispy walk through the darkening shadows. The hard part was choosing a picture. I liked this one with Greenan Castle in the distance to the right.
Go large...
I only just made it home for my sausage (Richmond Irish thin ones) with egg and chips followed by a big minty Magnum! Yum!
Track? I've played it before but here's Joe Bonamassa's version of a great classic - Feelin' Good
