carved in stone
Our first trip today was to Roslin. I wanted to see the chapel with those amazing carvings. How sad, that one isn't allowed to take pictures but it is understandable. It is tiny. I do love the apprentice pillar.
It was here where we saw the only cat on our visit to Edinburgh. When we entered the chapel a guide was in the middle of explaining the different carvings and several myths about the chapel. Very interesting and entertaining as well.
Said cat wandered over and came to rest between us. The guide later told us its name was William and was coming to the chapel for the past 9 years. Must be the good karma of the place.
