To earthy simplicity

Although we've enjoyed the urban chic of Madrid, it was actually easy to appreciate Lincolnshire's big skies as I drove over to meet a friend for lunch today.
As we came out of the local tea room and mill, these parsnips had just been dug from the cottage garden. My bet is they're for tomorrow's soup.
Lots of home grown and home made items on the menu provided inspiration for my contributions to tonight's dinner with friends.
