Mary

This is Mary, a self-described "gentle soul", who has been my sidekick for the show adventure. She is great company, and we've had lots of fun while we work. If you've been following the story, you could likely guess that this was taken at the reserved booth at the local pizza place (where we are part owners now.) They do have great food and beer, but it has become our hangout partly because it is within walking distance of the hotel. After dark and in a strange place, it's hard to drive around and find a good place. Tonight we had each other laughing so hard that we couldn't stop, and I had tears in my eyes. If I even tried to glance in her direction it started all over again. Do you remember that feeling as a child? I was the oldest of six children growing up, and we had many happy times like that.
Mary agreed somewhat reluctantly to have her picture taken, and I'm glad to have this in my journal for the memories. I think this is the first "portrait" I've ever included in my journal. I'm not sure why this is so, but I might have to branch out a little bit and experiment.
